What happens during one of my tarot readings?

I will shuffle a tarot deck and choose the cards which I will arrange in a pattern. Typically I use the Celtic Cross, but I do use some other spreads. Sometimes I make a spread specifically for you.

I will explain the traditional meaning of each card, as well as how each relates to it’s position in the pattern. More importantly, I will explain the connections between the cards and the overall metaphorical “story” that they are telling me about you and the question you asked… and I will also tell you what my intuition is telling me based on the reading. That is often the most interesting, and the most useful part. If the reading is in real time we can have a dialogue at this point. If not, you will be able to listen to the audio recording as I describe the way the cards relate to your specific situation.

I do believe tarot is magical and full of synchronicity. I have seen time and again the cards reflect people’s very specific life circumstances. People are often shocked by how accurate my readings are. I don’t know how it works, I just know that it does.

However, even if you are skeptical about the mystical, the symbolic images on the cards can help you to gain insight into your own wishes, desires, fears, and motivations and relationships to others. Tarot can also show you ways that you might be unconsciously sabotaging yourself, or show you potential solutions and options that you hadn’t considered. Similar to examining our nightly dreams, the tarot images help us to understand our own unconscious mind.

I don’t claim to “predict your future”, as I don’t believe that the future is fixed. I believe there are many factors involved in making the future, including your own free will, and that of the others involved. What I can do is indicate probability, or likelihood that something could happen, based on your choices. I would rather help you to CREATE your future than predict it. Tarot contains powerful archetypes that can bring about rapid, real-life changes. Meditation or visualization on a particular card, or on a few cards, can be a bridge that leads towards manifesting the kind of future you want.

Your reading is private and confidential. I will do my best to remain non-judgemental and impartial. However, I will also do my best to encourage you to be honest with yourself and others; and towards clarity and integrity. I may suggest possible consequences based on your own choices. I will not make your choices for you, or tell you what you “should” or “shouldn’t” do, so please don’t ask. At the end of the reading I want you to feel empowered and uplifted to make your own choices, trusting yourself.
